Mandy McCormick, RN
Mandy McCormick is a valuable member of the Regional Brain & Spine team. As the Workers’ Compensation nurse coordinator, her role is to help guide injured workers through the treatment process by facilitating and coordinating their care.
Workers’ Compensation patients come to Regional Brain & Spine with a variety of injuries—many of which require surgery, physical therapy or both. The physicians, certified physician assistants and advanced nurse practitioners make treatment recommendations, and Mandy sends this information to the patients’ case manager. She then follows up with the case manager to see what treatment(s) have been approved, and schedules the patient accordingly.
Mandy’s goal is to schedule patients for the treatments they need in a timely manner. She continuously communicates with referring doctors and case managers to keep them informed about what is happening with their patients.
Outside of work, Mandy spends most of her time with her husband and three children. She is very involved in her children’s school and athletic activities, and also enjoys outdoor recreation with her family such as fishing and boating at the lake.
